Yellow Award - For Montessori Nurseries:
Stillbrook Lodge CIC recognises the potential budgetary constraints of Montessori establishments when it comes to supplying a full range of Montessori equipment, and replacing existing, worn equipment.
This grant will supply funds to genuine Montessori establishments in order to increase or replace Montessori equipment. The establishment will need to specify what piece(s) of equipment they would like to purchase and supply evidence to demonstrate the need for this in their nursery. Examples of grants that may be awarded are for, and not limited to, providing Montessori Bells, the Bead material, Botany Cabinet, Geography Cabinet for nurseries who do not currently have these. In addition, nurseries who need to replace other materials may also apply. The nursery will need to sign an agreement stating that they must retain the material for a minimum of one year from the time of purchase, and will need to provide receipts of this purchase. Grants may be made for part or all of the equipment.

Blue Award - For Montessori Students:
This funding is aimed at any student commencing training in the Montessori method at an approved Montessori training provider* in or after January 2010. Priority will be given to those students from the Bournemouth area who have not been able to secure funding elsewhere, or those who, even after other funding, would not be able to afford to pay for the remainder of their tuition themselves. It is therefore a means-tested award and evidence of the inability to pay will be requested as part of the application.

Red Award - For Montessori Staff:
The Red Award is aimed at staff at Montessori nurseries who are:
a) not already Montessori trained
b) hold a Montessori Certificate from a recognised Montessori training provider and wish to upgrade it to a Diploma
c) wish to study the Montessori method at Elementary level
This is not a means-tested grant, although applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the Montessori method of education and have been working in a Montessori establishment for a minimum of 12 months.
